Prunus fasciculata, also known as Wild Almond, Desert Almond, and Desert Peach is a spiny and woody shrub producing wild almonds, native to the deserts of Arizona, California, Baja California, Nevada and Utah.
Prunus fasciculata is a perennial shrub. This species gets to a great age in the wild. It prefers sandy or rocky soil on slopes, but is most often found near washes up to an altitude of 7500 feet. Most specimens reach a height of 6 feet, but we’ve seen them twice that high. Pollinators such as bees are highly attracted to this shrub when it is in full bloom. Packet
