Stumbling upon Cream Cups in the early spring is truly a treat. Platystemon californicus are absolutely gorgeous annual wildflowers. At first glance they almost look as if they're shrouded in fog, due to the fuzzy appearance of the leaves and stems. It appreciates full sun, gritty soil that drains very well, and is often found on gently sloping hillsides and in meadows.
